Many of you have been waiting on your mask to arrive and we wanted to share some good news. On May 8th, 85,000 masks were delivered to our warehouse after being held up in customs for weeks, and an additional 115,000 have been received since then for a total of 200,000 masks.
We’re shipping out orders in the order they were received while also prioritizing shipments for essential workers, front-line workers and people considered higher risk due to certain health conditions.
In order to keep our employees safe and to increase our fulfillment capacity, we’ve converted our San Francisco office into a fulfillment center. We now have three fulfillment centers working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week to ship out masks.
In terms of responding to your questions and comments, we are sorry we have been behind and have been working hard to more than double the customer service team. This week, we are welcoming 15 new members to our team so we can respond to you much faster. Thank you for your patience as our team gets through your requests and also learns more about VIDA.
These are such uncertain and difficult times. There’s so much that everyone is going through. Not having access to an essential product like a mask should not be something to add to the list. Please know that we are working relentlessly behind the scenes, day and night, to get your masks to you as quickly as possible and will continue to make sure we keep you up-to-date.
